Sekcija apvienos zinātniekus un praktiķus, kas veic aktuālas mūsdienu darba vides starpdisciplinārus pētījumus, pēta mūsdienu darba vides izaicinājumus, piemēram, fizisko un kognitīvo pārslodzi darbā, procesu digitalizāciju, attālināta un hibrīddarba ietekmi uz strādājošo veselību, redzes sistēmas noslodzi, ilgtspējīgu organizācijas un darbinieku produktivitāti, kā arī cilvēkcentrētu organizāciju attīstību industrijas 5.0 kontekstā. Nozīmīgs sekcijas ieguvums ir zinātnes–prakses dialoga veicināšana, ko stiprina cieša sadarbība ar profesionālajām un nozares organizācijām – piemeram, Latvijas Tirdzniecības un rūpniecības kameru (LTRK), Latvijas Ergonomikas biedrību (LEB) un Biznesa efektivitātes asociāciju (BEA). Šī sadarbība un sekcijas diskusijas ar industrijas pārstāvjiem nodrošinās, ka prezentētie pētījumi ir ne tikai akadēmiski un zinātniski augstvērtīgi sasniegumi, bet tie ir arī praktiski pielietojami organizāciju vadībā.

Health and well-being at work – the foundation for a competitive business and working environment
The section will bring together scientists and practitioners who conduct interdisciplinary research on the current state of the modern work environment, studying the challenges of the modern work environment, such as physical and cognitive overload at work, process digitalization, the impact of remote and hybrid work on employee health, visual system strain, sustainable organizational and employee productivity, as well as the development of human-centered organizations in the context of Industry 5.0. A significant benefit of the section is the promotion of science-practice dialogue, which is strengthened by close cooperation with professional and industry organizations – for example, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), the Latvian Ergonomics Society (LEB) and the Business Efficiency Association (BEA). This cooperation and the section's discussions with industry representatives will ensure that the presented research is not only academic and scientifically valuable achievements, but also has practical application in organizational management.
