Identitāte, modernais un tradicionālais Latvijā un diasporā
Sekcijas pētnieciskajā fokusā ir identitātes veidošanās, attīstība un pārmaiņas valodas, literatūras un kolektīvās atmiņas dimensijās. Aicinām referentus īpašu uzmanību pievērst pārmaiņu un kontinuitātes krustpunktiem teksta poētikas un valodas lietojumā, domājot par kultūras procesa centieniem uzturēt latviešu nacionālās kultūras un etnolingvistisko kapitālu, kā arī pievērst uzmanību starptautiskās migrācijas ietekmei uz identitātes uztveri. Tostarp sekcijas mērķis ir sniegt padziļinātu skatījumu uz valodas prakses, kultūras apmaiņas un izglītības mehānismu pārklāšanos diasporā kā identitātes veidošanas instrumentiem.
Sekcijas ietvaros plānotas arī īpašas sesijas kultūras procesam diasporā, un divu latviešu autoru – Jāņa Veseļa (1896–1962) un Jāņa Lejiņa (1954–2025) – darbībai literatūrā un publicistikā.

Identity, the Modern and the Traditional in Latvia and the Diaspora
The research focus of the section is the formation, development, and transformation of identity across the dimensions of language, literature, and collective memory. We invite contributors to pay particular attention to the intersections of change and continuity in textual poetics and language use, considering the cultural process's efforts to sustain Latvian national culture and ethnolinguistic capital, as well as to address the impact of international migration on perceptions of identity. Among the section's aims is also to offer an in-depth perspective on the overlap of language practices, cultural exchange, and educational mechanisms in the Latvian diaspora as instruments of identity formation.
Within the framework of the section, special sessions are also planned on cultural processes in the diaspora, and on the literary and journalistic work of two Latvian authors – Jānis Veselis (1896–1962) and Jānis Lejiņš (1954–2025).
