Sekcijā tiek analizēta vietējo kopienu, sabiedrības struktūru un sociālo tīklu nozīme valsts un reģionālās drošības stiprināšanā. Mūsdienu drošības izaicinājumi pārsniedz militāro jomu, ietverot hibrīddraudus, dezinformāciju, kiberdrošību un sabiedrības polarizāciju. Ilgtspējīga aizsardzība balstās ne tikai valsts institūciju kapacitātē, bet arī kopienu noturībā, kur piederības sajūta, savstarpēja uzticēšanās un sociālā kohēzija kļūst par būtiskiem drošības faktoriem. Sekcija aicina izvērtēt pieredzi un labās prakses piemērus, kā stiprināt kopienu spēju reaģēt uz krīzēm un ilgtermiņa izaicinājumiem, kā arī analizēt valsts politikas un izglītības lomu piederības sajūtas un kolektīvās drošības veicināšanā.

This section analyzes the role of local communities, social structures, and social networks in strengthening national and regional security. Contemporary security challenges extend beyond the military domain, encompassing hybrid threats, disinformation, cybersecurity, and societal polarization. Sustainable defense is based not only on the capacity of state institutions but also on community resilience, where a sense of belonging, mutual trust, and social cohesion become essential security factors. The section invites the assessment of experiences and good practice examples on how to strengthen communities’ capacity to respond to crises and long-term challenges, as well as analysis of the role of state policy and education in fostering a sense of belonging and collective security.
