Strengthening international and national security

No 2026.gada 14.aprīļa līdz 16.aprīlim notiks Latvijas Universitātes 84.starptautiskā zinātniskā konference, kuras ietvaros pirmajās divās konferences dienās norisināsies konferences pasākumi saistībā ar ārējās un iekšējās drošības stiprināšanas izpētes virzienu. Šajā virzienā notiks plenārsēde un vairākas konferences sekcijas, ļaujot šo tematu aplūkot plašā kontekstā no dažādu perspektīvu un zinātnes nozaru viedokļa. Plenārsēde būs veltīta arējās un iekšējās drošības stiprināšanas tematam no zinātniskās un praktiskās perspektīvas viedokļa, ļaujot aplūkot drošības aspektus no dažādu zinātnes nozaru perspektīvas un starpdisciplinārās pieejas viedokļa. Konferences sekcijas būs veltītas dažādiem drošības izaicinājumiem gan drošumspējas, migrācijas un sabiedrības noturības, gan drošības demokrātijā, gan piederības un noturības caur kopienu attīstību izpētei, šos aspektus raksturojot no dažādu humanitāro un sociālo zinātņu nozaru aspektiem.

The 84th International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia will take place from 14 to 16 April 2026, during which conference events (plenary session and several conference sections) related to the research direction of strengthening international and national security will take place during the first two conference days. A plenary session and conference sections will be held in this direction, allowing this topic to be viewed in a broader context from different perspectives and scientific disciplines and an interdisciplinary approach. The plenary session will focus on strengthening external and internal security from a scientific and practical perspective and will take the form of a roundtable discussion, allowing us to examine security issues from the perspectives of various scientific disciplines. The conference sections will be dedicated to various security challenges, such as security capacity, migration and societal resilience, security in democracy, and the belonging and resilience through community development, characterising these aspects from the perspectives of various humanities and social science disciplines.
