LU Anglistikas nodaļas organizētajā sekcijā “Krustpunkti literatūrā un kultūrā” pētnieki, kas specializējas anglofonajā literatūrā un salīdzinošajā literatūrzinātnē, dalīsies pieredzē un atziņās par plašu, pārdomas rosinošu tēmu loku. Referāti ļaus gūt dziļāku izpratni par literāro tekstu sarežģītību un niansēm aplūkojot tēmas saistībā ar tulkošanas politiskā diskursa izzināšanu Latvijā 20. gadsimta 80. gados, kolektīvās traumas atainojumu Ināras Vērzemnieks vēstījumā, Indijas izcelsmes rakstnieku darbiem Eiropā, epifenomenoloģiskās lasīšanas izmantošanu, lai izteiktu neizsakāmo, kā arī sniegs ieskatu par mākslīgās inteliģences izmantošanu literatūras pētījumos.
The section “Crossroads in Literature and Culture” organized by the Department of English Studies promises to be a truly exciting experience for all attendees. Scholars specializing in anglophone literature and comparative literature studies will be sharing their expertise and insights on a wide range of thought-provoking themes. From exploring the political discourse of translation in Latvia during the 1980s to delving into the collective trauma depicted in a narrative by Ināra Vērzemnieks, attendees will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities and nuances of literary texts. Additionally, the section will also address such important topics as the work of Indian-origin writers in Europe, the use of epiphenomenological reading to express the unspeakable, and the intersection of AI and literary studies.
