Crossroads of the Past: Power, Identity, and the Research of History
Interactions among different social groups foster identity clashes, which often resonate across the wider region. Processes unfolding within society shape power relations, while the emergence of conflicts and the mechanisms for their resolution reveal society's internal contradictions. Relationships and identities formed in the past continue to influence the present, and their study is a tool for finding answers to questions that are pressing today.
