LU Latvijas vēstures institūts Latvijas Universitātes 82. starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences ietvaros 2024. gada 26. martā rīko sekciju “Vide un cilvēks: jaunākie pētījumi par neolīta periodu Austrumbaltijā/ Environment and human: the latest research on the Neolithic in the Eastern Baltics”
Sekcija ir veltīta vienam no interesantākajiem periodiem aizvēsturē – neolītam un tajā notiekošajiem procesiem, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot vides faktoru un cilvēka mijiedarbībai. Vides apstākļi un tajā pieejamie resursi būtiski ietekmējuši un joprojām ietekmē cilvēku ikdienu. Piemēram, senajiem cilvēkiem resursu pieejamība nodrošinājusi specifiskas iztikas stratēģijas, apmešanos konkrētās teritorijās kā arī ietekmējusi tehnoloģisko attīstību. Sekcijas mērķis ir izzināt jaunākās pētījumu tendences un veicināt diskusijas par vides un resursu lomu neolīta cilvēku dzīvē. Kā izpētes areāls izvēlēta Austrumbaltijas jeb mūsdienu Latvijas, Lietuvas un Igaunijas teritorijas.
Sekcija tiek organizēta LZP projekta "Lauksaimniecības aizsākumi un apkārtējā vide Lubāna ezera mitrāja Aboras neolīta apmetnē" (lzp-2022/1-0300) ietvaros.
Sekcijas organizatori aicina arheoloģijas, ģeoloģijas, ģeogrāfijas u.c. nozaru speciālistus iesniegt ziņojumus, kas saistīti ar sekojošiem jautājumiem Austrumbaltijas neolīta izpētē:
- Paleoģeogrāfiskā un ģeoloģiskā izpēte dzīvesvietās un to tuvumā;
- Cilvēka un apkārtējās vides mijiedarbība;
- Iztikas stratēģijas un to modeļi;
- Mikroreģionu apdzīvotība un apkārtējās vides aspekti;
- Resursu pieejamība un to izmantošana.
Darba valodas: latviešu, angļu.
Norises datums un vieta: 26. marts, Kalpaka bulv. 4., 2. stāva zāle, referentiem tiks nodrošināta iespēja pieslēgties konferencei attālināti.
Ziņojumu pieteikšana konferencei līdz 2024. gada 11. februārim, aizpildot reģistrācijas formu zemāk.
Pieteikumā jānorāda ziņojuma autoru(s), nosaukumu un aprakstu (apjoms – 500 zīmes).
Referātu apstiprināšana tiks paziņota līdz 2024. gada 16. februārim.
Sekcijas ietvaros digitāli tiks publicēts tēžu krājums, kas būs pieejams Latvijas Universitātes repozitorijā.
On March 26, 2024 the Latvian Institute of History of the University of Latvia organizes the section "Environment and human: the latest research on the Neolithic in the Eastern Baltics" as part of the 82nd international scientific conference of the University of Latvia.
The section is dedicated to one of the most interesting periods in prehistory - the Neolithic and the processes taking place in it, paying special attention to the interaction of environmental factors and humans. Environmental conditions and the resources available in it have significantly influenced and still influence people's everyday life. The ancient people, the availability of resources ensured specific livelihood strategies, settling in specific territories, and also influenced technological development. The aim of the section is to learn about the latest research trends and to promote discussions about the role of environment and resources in the life of Neolithic people. The Eastern Baltic, comprising of modern Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, was chosen as the research area.
The organizers of the section invite archaeology, geology, geography, etc. sectoral specialists to submit reports related to the following issues in the study of the Eastern Baltic Neolithic:
1) Paleogeographical and geological research in and near settlements;
2) Human-environment interaction;
3) Livelihood strategies and their models;
4) Population and environmental aspects of micro-regions;
5) Availability of resources and their use.
Event date and place: March 26, Kalpaka blvd 4, 2nd floor, speakers will be provided with the opportunity to connect to the conference remotely. The working language of the section is Latvian and English.
Please submit your proposal to the conference by February 11, 2024, by filling out the registration form below.
In the application, the author(s), name and description of the report must be specified (volume – 500 characters).
The approval of papers will be announced by February 16, 2024.
Within the section, a collection of theses will be digitally published, which will be available in the repository of the University of Latvia.
Approved referees are asked to submit their thesis (volume 1700 characters) for the collection by March 12, 2024.
