LU Latvijas vēstures institūts Latvijas Universitātes 82. starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences ietvaros 2024. gada 22. martā organizē sekciju “Etnogrāfs, sabiedrība, māksla. 1940.-1990.”
Uzsākot LZP FLPP “Etnogrāfs, sabiedrība, māksla: etnoloģijas un mākslas simbioze un padomju koloniālisma diskurss Latvijā” (lzp-2023/1-052), kurā pirmo reizi kopš neatkarības atjaunošanas tiks sniegts etnoloģijas nozares padomju okupācijas perioda zinātnisks izvērtējums un veicināta sabiedrības izpratne par padomju koloniālisma politikas ietekmi uz zināšanu radīšanas un kontroles sistēmu, kā arī par etnogrāfijas un mākslas lomu sabiedrības saliedēšanā un kopīgas identitātes veidošanā, vēlamies aktualizēt uzskaitīto tēmu pētniecību Latvijā un paraudzīties uz to plašākā starpdisciplinārā kontekstā.
Lai iezīmētu pētāmās tēmas ietvaru, aicinām humanitāro un sociālo zinātņu pētniekus un studentus, kuru interešu lokā ir ar padomju okupācijas perioda etnogrāfiju saistītu zinātņu nozaru vēsture, ikdienas dzīves vai mākslas norises, aicinām konferences sekcijai “Etnogrāfs, sabiedrība, māksla: 1940.-1990.” pieteikt ziņojumus, kas saistīti ar kādu no šiem jautājumiem:
- Etnogrāfijas nozares attīstību ietekmējošais politiskais, administratīvais un tiesiskais regulējums;
- Etnoloģisko zināšanu radīšana un to izmantojums padomju ideoloģijas mērķiem;
- Etnoloģiskās zināšanas kā resurss nacionālās identitātes stiprināšanai koloniālisma apstākļos;
- Saskares punkti starp etnogrāfijas, arheoloģijas, folkloristikas u.c. zinātņu nozarēm padomju okupācijas periodā;
- Etnogrāfiskā kultūras mantojuma un mākslas simbioze;
- Etnogrāfiskais kultūras mantojums un tā izmantojums padomju okupācijas perioda izglītībā.
Konferences sekcija notiks klātienē, Rīgā, Kalpaka bulv. 4, 108. (?) telpā. Sekcijas darba valoda – latviešu.
Ziņojumu pieteikšana konferencei līdz 19. februārim, aizpildot reģistrācijas formu zemāk.
Pieteikumā lūdzam norādīt ziņojuma autoru(s), nosaukumu un saturu (400 līdz 500 zīmju apjomā). Par referātu pieņemšanu konferencei tiks paziņots līdz 26. februārim.
Konferences tēžu krājums tiks izdots elektroniskā formātā un ievietots Latvijas Universitātes repozitorijā. Apstiprinātajiem referentiem tēzes krājumam jāiesniedz līdz 2024. gada 11. martam. Apjoms – līdz 1800 zīmēm.
The Institute of Latvian History of the University of Latvia organizes the section "Ethnographer, Society, Art. 1940-1990" on March 22, 2024, within the framework of the 82nd International scientific conference of the University of Latvia.
We are launching a research project " Ethnographer, Society, and Art: Symbiosis of Ethnology and Art and Discourse of the Soviet Colonialism in Latvia" (lzp-2023/1-052), in which for the first time since the restoration of independence, a scientific evaluation of the period of the Soviet occupation of the field of ethnology will be provided. We are also focusing on the public's understanding of the influence of the Soviet colonial policy on the system of knowledge creation and control, as well as the role of ethnography and art in uniting society and creating a common identity. We want to update the research of the listed topics in Latvia and look at it in a wider interdisciplinary context.
To outline the framework of the researched topic, we invite researchers and students of humanities and social sciences whose interests include the history of the branches of science related to the ethnography, daily life, or artistic developments during the Soviet occupation period, to the conference section "Ethnographer, Society, Art: 1940-1990" by submitting reports related to any of the following topics:
• The political, administrative and legal regulation affecting the development of the field of ethnography;
• Creation of ethnological knowledge and its use for the purposes of Soviet ideology;
• Ethnological knowledge as a resource for strengthening national identity under colonialism;
• Points of contact between ethnography, archaeology, folkloristics, and other fields of science during the Soviet occupation period;
• The symbiosis of ethnographic cultural heritage and art;
• Ethnographic cultural heritage and its use in education during the Soviet occupation period.
The conference section will be held in person, in Riga, Kalpaka blvd. 4, in room 108 (?). The working language of the section is Latvian and English.
Please submit your proposal to the conference by February 19 by filling out the registration form below.
In the application, please indicate the author(s), title, and content of the paper (400 to 500 characters). Acceptance of papers for the conference will be announced by February 26.
The collection of theses of the conference will be published in electronic format and placed in the repository of the University of Latvia. Approved referees are asked to submit their thesis (up to 1800 characters long) for the collection by March 11, 2024.
