Purposes of personal data processing – processing of personal data is performed, when a person receives a service, which is provided to a person in accordance with the regulations of the University of Latvia, documents, laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia, including the operation of the University of Latvia in respect to its information systems, data files and other information, which is used for information processing, transmission, storage and carrying out other functions (including visiting the University of Latvia website), entering into an agreement with the University of Latvia in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia, as well as giving consent to the processing of personal data, including in an electronic environment (for example, applying for a service on the University of Latvia website).

Substantiation of personal data processing – processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation applicable to the University of Latvia (Article 6 (1) (c) of the Regulation, Law on Higher Education Institutions and Labour Law).

Recipients of personal data – the controller and its authorized persons, the data subject regarding oneself, law enforcement or supervising institutions in cases and in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments.

Storage of personal data – the University of Latvia processes personal data for as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose of processing personal data or to comply with the requirements of regulatory enactments in force in the Republic of Latvia.

The University of Latvia fully respects your right to privacy and will not collect any personal information about you on this website without your permission. Any personal information you voluntarily provide to the University of Latvia will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data; and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

The University of Latvia does not collect any of your personal data on this page with an exception of the personal information you voluntarily provide (for example, by sending us an e-mail). Any information you provide in this manner is not accessible to third parties and the University of Latvia uses it only for the purposes for which you provided this information.
