Vita Kalnbērziņa's research interests range from social and psychological aspects of language acquisition to language acquisition methodology and language testing. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Latvia and currently teaches 5 courses in bachelor's studies, 5 in master's study program and 2 courses in teacher training programs, such as "Language Learning Theory and Practice", "Language Awareness", "Psycholinguistics", "The Role of Languages in Intercultural Communication". She is a regular participant in international conferences (37 in total) and 20 publications on language learning and assessment, including 3 articles in SCOPUS databases. For the last 2 years, Vita Kalnbērziņa has been an expert of the project “School 2030” (development of state curricula and examinations, participation in conferences and international seminars) and is a State curriculum and examinations expert.
