Anita Naciscione is Professor of Cognitive Stylistics at the Department of Cross-cultural Communication and Foreign Languages at the Latvian Academy of Culture, Riga, Latvia. Academic and research interests: Cognitive Stylistics, Multimodal Discourse, Phraseology, Paremiology, Cross-cultural Studies, Translation and Metaphor in Terminology. She has read many guest lectures and plenary lectures at conferences on various issues in these areas. Member of RaAM, PALA, EUROPHRAS and ESSE. Author of two books and many articles. Award: her book Stylistic Use of Phraseological Units in Discourse (2010, John Benjamins Publishing Company) was awarded an Honourable Mention at the ESSE Book Award 2012.
